André Steiner

Circa 1930
André Steiner (1901–1978), settled in Paris from 1927, develops experimental and modern photography. This photograph, carried out towards 1930 and kept at the Maison de la Photographie in Marrakech, shows a Moroccan woman with an earthenware jug. The light highlights his face, his look and his pose. The scene is simple and natural. It illustrates Steiner’s daily attention.
