Jeanne Jouin
Public writer, Fès
Circa 1930
French ethnographer, Jeanne Jouin has documented Morocco for years 1930 through his research and photographs. This photograph, taken in Fez, represents a public writer, essential figure of daily life in the medina. The House of Photography in Marrakech preserves several of his works, testifying to the richness of female perspectives on Morocco in the 20th century.
