Life in colors

January 2020

During his stay in Morocco, of 1962 at 1970, as a pulmonologist, Charles Henneghien, passionate about photography and undoubtedly even more by the succession of exceptional moments that he and his wife Paulette experienced in contact with multiple destinies, riches, fragile, bearers of hope and often suffering, created a photo club in Oujda.

Charles Henneghien's Colorito seduces : its shimmering colors seem borrowed from Giorgione and Veronese, or closer to the quest for color inherent in photography, autochromes invented at the beginning of the 20th centuryth century by the Lumière brothers. We are tempted to exhibit them next to the magnificent powdered colors of Chouanard, Roy, Chevalier, Passed, Gervais-Courtellemont especially, regularly shown at the Maison de la Photographie in Marrakech, and also photochromies which sublimate the images of the Orient under the acronym P.Z.
