Photographer René Bertrand (1910 – 1979), lived in Marrakech for a very long time. His photographic work illustrates the richness of Amazigh life in Morocco, mainly in the Atlas and the south. It also demonstrates an “ethnological” look.. The dance scenes, fantasy, de moussem – the big markets – evoke daily life and the festivals of a rural life that soon disappeared. This exhibition is produced by the Maison de la Photographie de Marrakech in partnership with the Sofitel hotel., as part of the May of the photo.
