These images are the testimonies of Elisabeth and Michel, young teachers at Moulay Idriss and Mohammed V high schools in Casablanca, and Hélène their daughter, and their friendship with Zahra, Ahmed and Loubna their daughter.
During his stay in Morocco, of 1962 at 1970, as a pulmonologist, Charles Henneghien, passionate about photography and undoubtedly even more by the succession of exceptional moments that he and his wife Paulette experienced in contact with multiple destinies, riches, fragile, bearers of hope and often suffering, created a photo club in Oujda.
By creating the Maison de la Photographie in Marrakech, we wanted to collect the elements of an archive on Morocco, in Morocco. The Maison de la Photographie opened in 2009. We have since extensively illustrated Judaism in Morocco, edited catalogs, permanently show the diversity of Moroccan society and therefore, the presence of Judaism.
Michel Nachef is a photographer born in Lebanon in 1936. He lived in Morocco for 50 years. His career is based on the conservation of architectural and human heritage.
A set of photographs show the diversity of Morocco illustrated by portraits of women. The "Women of Morocco" exhibition is shown at the Maison de la Photographie, at the Mouassine Museum and contributes to a better understanding of the Moroccan feminine genius.
The Maison de la Photographie celebrates its 10th anniversary with an exceptional selection of photographic prints from the years 1860 - the first photographs taken in Morocco – up to the years 1960.
Charles Henneghien pulmonologist, photographer, lived in Morocco from 1962 at 1970 . His photographic work deeply emphasizes the proximity of the human relationship, the ability to highlight the universality of the human condition.
