The photographic archives of the Maison de la Photographie are a vibrant testimony to the immense presence of Moroccan women. Since the early years of photography in Morocco, towards 1860, until our days, the photographers highlighted the roles of women in society and also the diversity of personalities, adornments, songs and dances of which women are the mothers, protectors and essential actors.
A set of photographs show the diversity of Morocco illustrated by portraits of women. The "Women of Morocco" exhibition is shown at the Maison de la Photographie, at the Mouassine Museum and contributes to a better understanding of the Moroccan feminine genius.
