Ros Bartholom

Cartagena, 1906 – Madrid, 1974

Spanish photographer, former accountant, he settled in Ceuta with his family in 1918. There he learned the profession of photographer with the Calatayud brothers. At the age of 14 years he worked with the photographer Angel Rubio and became independent on his death in 1925. Towards the years 1920, he opened a photography supply store called “home shop” He worked for the army and documented the Spanish protectorate in the cities of Tetouan, Larache, Xauen, of 1918 at 1931. His pictures were published in the national press (ABC, Information, black and white, Graphic World, The Illustrated Union) and international (National Geographic Society) but also in postcards.
