In spring and summer 1995, from Meknes to Marrakech, French Institute of Essouira for the Gnawa Festival of Essaouira, the writer and filmmaker Pierre Guicheney, ethnologist Viviana Easter and photographer Jean-Luc Manaud produce for Géo Magazine a report on Gnawa and Aïssawa rituals and pilgrimages. Jean-Luc Manaud will bring back rare images from this immersion in the heart of the two brotherhoods, exceptional. French Institute of Essouira for the Gnawa Festival of Essaouira 28 February 2015. Pierre Guicheney's documentary "Le bal des genies" (1998) will be screened during the exhibition.
