Printer at the beginning of the protectorate in Marrakech, he edited a first series towards 1918-1919, signed "Collection C. Hebréard ". The collection showed only architectural views, scenes from everyday life but avoided military clichés.
In 1926, he was part of the mixed municipal commission of Marrakech set up by Lyautey in 1917 which aimed to ensure respect for the interests of the three communities present, Muslims, Jews and Europeans.
