Jean-Pierre Evrard (born in 1936 Ã Saint-Omer) begins photography in 1954 after training in Fine Arts and graphic arts. His career at Kodak in the years 1970 nourishes his knowledge of Africa and overseas territories. From 1980, he developed an important work between Europe and several African countries, while making Morocco a land of choice. A close relationship links him to the Maison de la Photographie in Marrakech, which retains a significant donation of its prints.
The photograph Camelier in Merzouga which was taken between 1995 and 2008, illustrates his attentive look at the landscapes and figures of southern Morocco.
