Alliance Photo was formed in Paris in the early thirties : Zuber, Denise Bellon, Feher, Boucher, Verger, Cover, under the impetus of Maria Eisner, met in 1934.
Maria Eisner, born in Milan in 1909, arrived in Paris in 1933, organizing the sale of photographs collected in Berlin. She then worked with agencies in New York, in England, while Capa sold them in Amsterdam. The photographs of the agency were thus published in numerous publications.
The photographs of this group, remarkable modernity, symbolize desires, the choices and hopes of the man of the twentieth century.
Many of them traveled to Morocco : Denise Bellon, 1936, Pierre Boucher, 1935-36 and 1938, Pierre Verger in 1935-36, René Zuber in 1938. They certainly met the various photographers from the Souissi studio near Rabat., or installed at the time in Marrakech, Jeannette and Maurice Fievet, Roger pigneux, like them passionate about discovering the other. All were influenced by the intellectual and aesthetic movement of the Musée de l'Homme and the exhibitions that were organized there..
